Job Description:
Will float between Burnsville and Hudson0.5-1.0 FTE. Final FTE
TBD at time of Interview and Offer based on applicant availability
and business needThe Float Infusion Paramedic is responsible for
the infusion of patients through IV infusions and IM injections
under the supervision of a physician or nurse practitioner. The
Infusion Paramedic will play an important role in communicating
effectively with patients and staff, while maintaining an organized
administrative schedule, in order to support the mission of The
Remedy.Duties/Responsibilities:The primary responsibility of the
Infusion paramedic is to perform IV infusions and IM injections of
ketamine under the supervision of a physician or nurse
practitioner.Conduct assessments of patients to determine their
suitability for infusion therapy, including reviewing medical
history, current medications, and vital signs.Administer prescribed
medications and therapies via IV infusion, following established
protocols and dosage guidelines.Collaborate well with team members
including psychiatrist, therapists, Ketamine/TMS team and office
staff.Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of all aspects
of infusion therapy, including patient assessments, medication
administration, vital signs, and any adverse events.Provides EMR
services as needed.Monitoring vital signs of TMS Therapy and
ketamine therapy patients.Maintain a high degree of accuracy
regarding all details, especially regarding patient notes.Monitor
patient for medical symptoms.Provide medical intervention in
emergency situations.Follow established treatment and office
procedures.Contribute to a positive and collaborative work
environment with an "all hands-on deck" approach.Act courteously
and with tact in dealing with patients, visitors and the
public.Performs other duties as assigned.Required
Skills/Abilities:Excellent written and verbal communication
skills.Excellent problem solving and organizational skills.Ability
to exercise independent judgment.Ability to maintain proper
certification to perform duties.Willingness to learn how to use TMS
and Ketamine for treatment purposes.Exemplifies strong work ethic
and operates with highest level of integrity in and outside of the
office, displaying a "patient first" mentality.Education and
Experience:Valid Paramedic Certification/LicenseOne year of IV
starting experienceExperience in a mental health care environment
is preferred but not requiredPhysical Requirements:Prolonged
periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able
