Are you a Senior Engineer that has experience with HVAC and Plumbing projects within commercial buildings?



Building Systems Engineer Overview:
We're seeking a knowledgeable Building Systems Engineer to play a role in the design, analysis, and optimization of HVAC, plumbing, and other mechanical systems. This position will collaborate closely with architects, construction teams, and other engineers to develop high-performance solutions for commercial, residential, and institutional projects. Responsibilities:

Create detailed designs and specifications for HVAC, plumbing, and other building systems, ensuring alignment with project goals, local codes, and sustainability standards.
Conduct load calculations, energy modeling, and system performance assessments to ensure efficiency and compliance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, electrical engineers, and construction professionals, to ensure cohesive system integration.
Implement energy-efficient, sustainable practices and technologies within system designs.
Ensure all designs meet safety regulations, building codes, and company standards while optimizing for cost-effectiveness.
Perform site visits as needed to review installation accuracy, troubleshoot issues, and validate system performance.
Prepare and maintain documentation of designs, calculations, and system specifications.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
7+ years of experience in HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical system design and implementation; experience in building systems engineering is preferred.
Proficiency with design and modeling software (Revit, HAP, Trane Trace) and familiarity with energy modeling tools.
Understanding of building codes, LEED standards, and sustainable design practices.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot issues and provide creative solutions to complex design or operational challenges.
